CHOCOLAT : A surprising collaboration between two Masters

When two enthusiastic human beings, one originated from the whisky world and from the chocolate universe for the other one, meet and gather their talents, it can lead to a magnificent surprise.

Etienne BOUILLON of BELGIAN OWL WHISKY and Jean-Philippe DARCIS of the eponymous chocolate company have collaborated to craft the first full of flavors "CHOCOLAT" thematic whisky.

The emblematic brand of the Owl provides us once again with an experience of unique delicacy to better understand the influence of the cask in the world of whiskies, here, by choosing a specific finish.

This 5 year old Single Malt Whisky has been finished in casks, which have previously contained a chocolate spirit, created from more than 200 kilos of dark cocoa pods from Sao Tomé (an island on the equator in Central Africa), finely selected by Jean-Philippe DARCIS.

The result is amazing: a delicate and subtle nectar that BELGIAN OWL wanted to bring as a seductive wink to their numerous female customers (yes indeed...), in this times of Mother's Day. An opening on notes of raspberry and violet continues on a final in mouth of an exceptional length.

This pooling of their authentic and Belgian know-how from the Master Distiller and the Chocolatier will also lead to the production of a DARCIS’ chocolate of pure discovery and pleasure.
